My Search Engine Optimisation Process:

  • Define your marketing goals and targets
    The key first step is to understand your business, target website audience and website marketing goals e.g Do you want higher online sales?, do you want more phone leads driven by your website? perhaps you want to raise awareness of your brand? By understanding your goals we can plan your SEO campaign and measure it, giving you visabilty on whats working and what is not. This can help you improve your website and achieve e.g higher sales.
  • Research key terms and words for your business goals.
    I will research key words or phrases that potential visitors will search on to find your products and services. Together we will agree a keyword shortlist that will form the basis of your campaign and is closely related to the goals defined previously.
  • Research online Competitors
    I will also research an agreed number of competitors for the keywords and phrases we agree in the early stage of the SEO process, to give us a benchmark and ideas of what is happening in your business sector on the internet.
  • Onsite SEO page analysis and configuration
    Website pages need to be coded correctly and certain factors need to be checked to help improve a websites structure making it be indexed more easily by the search engine.Items that I check and work on are:

    * Page Titles, Headings, Meta Titles , Descriptions and URL structure
    * Page content related to the keywords and phrases
    * XML sitemaps submitted and updated to search engines
    * Internal Linking structure optimised.
    * Robots and .htaccess files configured

  • Link building campaign
    Once we have the planned “on the page SEO” implemented I will move onto a link building campaign which can take various forms from:-
    *Social media setup and content planning including Blogs
    *Directory submissions
    *Press releases and article writing
    *Banner placements

    This is an ongoing process but one of the best ones for SEO purposes by creating relevant inbound links to your website.

  • Regular reporting and updates
    I will create a benchmark report so we can measure how the SEO work is improving your website, provide Google Analytics and SEO specific reports on a regular basis (usually monthly). I use an SEO matrix with defined stages so you are clear what is happening and when.I will always be happy to explain what I am doing giving you the business owner a clear understanding of the SEO process.
